✦ Synopsis


Daily mould counts were made using both exposed slides and Petri dishes, from January 1, 1994 to December 3 I, 1994 in Europe Quarter of Istanbul, Turkey. The most important moulds were: Cladosporium, Alternaria. Penicillium. Aspergillus and yeast. The peak mould season was early January to early February. Some moulds were present all year.

In this research of the pollutant factors in the air which may accelerate acute asthmatic assaults, daily atmospheric mould counts were made at the Europe Quarter of Istanbul from January 1, 1994 to December 31, 1994. Mould counts in this area have been reported formerly (FITZ-

## Abstract The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between airborne fungal spores and allergic diseases; for this reason, the airborne fungal spores that were obtained from five different locations of Belgrad Forest were isolated, determined and studied quantitatively. Totally 1
