✦ Synopsis

The Mott transition was considered in nonmagnetic and ferromagnetic semiconductors using an approach from the insulating side. The Mott critical densities were determined for some systems, including those which cannot be considered using the standard Mott procedure, e.g., two-electron donors in ferromagnetic semiconductors whose ground state is of the Ε½ . 1sr2s type EuO with excess Eu, etc. . The transition to the highly conductive state should be continuous or almost continuous.
