La longue lutte touche à sa fin. Le démon n'est plus, ses sortilèges
les plus sombres ont été brisés par la magie des pierres précieuses
exercée par Pony. Mais la victoire laisse un goût amer. De nombreuses
vies ont été perdues, comme celles de l'elfe Elbryan Wynden, l'amant de
Pony.
Malgré la disparition du démon, le royaume doit encore faire face aux
mêmes traîtrises et machinations. C'est alors qu'une maladie mortelle
s'abat sur Corona. Pony doit entreprendre un pèlerinage qui lui
permettra de tester ses pouvoirs et sa foi, comme jamais auparavant. Une
quête presque impossible car à chaque étape se trouve l'homme qu'elle
déteste par-dessus tout : Marcalo De'Unnero – le meurtrier d'Elbryan –
dont le seul but est de la pervertir et de la détruire…
