Polymer dispersed liquid crystals (PDLCs) based on nematic liquid crystal (LC) E7 and pre-polymeric composition NOA65 were formed via the photoinduced phase separation in a wide intensity range of the actinic UV light (I = 0.5-40 mW cm Γ2 ). The phase separation process was monitored by measuring tr

β¦ Synopsis
The process of phase separation in the course of the thermoset curing reaction is considered. Clarification of the role of kinetic factors in such processes is the focus of the article, and the need in a kinetic theoy for cure reactioninduced phase separation (CRZPS) is substantiated. An adequate nonequilibrium approach proposed previously is given further development. A new CRlPS model with equilibrium bounda y conditions is introduced.
