Abstract

The morphology of spore‐forms in Ravenelia emblicae Sydow is described in detail. Only pycnial, uredial, and telial stages occur in its life cycle. Observations on nuclear behaviour in teliospore, basidium, and basidiospore are presented here. The haploid chromosome complement at the metaphase of meiotic nuclear division indicated 5 morphologically distinct chromosomes (n = 5).
