## Abstract We desiccated bdelloid rotifers (__Macrotrachela quadricornifera__), submitting the animals to four desiccation procedures (protocols A, B, C, D) that differed in the rate of water evaporation, in the time of desiccation, and in the substrates provided. We observed external morphologica
