Although the anuran pronephros has been the subject of numerous investigations, its entire developmental history has never been worked out in a single species. The average textbook account can readily be noted to have been assembled from studies on a number of forms. The present account, dealing with Ravla pipiems, a species not previously described, 'This work was carried out as part of a thesis siibniitted to the Faculty of a Contribution number 528 from the Zoological Lahouatories, Indiana Unirersity.
