β¦ Synopsis
Simulations were carried out of the polymer-polymer chain interpenetration, diffusion, and adhesion of crosslinked polymers with dangling chain ends. Concentration profiles were determined for various polymer chain lengths and densities. The penetration depth was less than the radius of gyration of the polymer grafts or dangling ends and was a function of the packing density and the graft segment length. Limited chain mobility created a stable interfacial zone.

Competitive adsorption of polydisperse polymers at a solid-liquid interface is studied by Monte Carlo simulation (MC). The dynamic process of adsorption prior to equilibrium is traced. Changing fractionation is observed during the process of adsorption. Shorter chains are preferentially adsorbed due
We report a Monte-Carlo simulation study of solid graphite/FeΒ±C melt interface at high temperatures. Atoms were arranged on a hexagonal lattice with pair-wise short-range interactions. Simulations in the canonical ensemble were carried out as a function of temperature, carbon content of the melt and
Monte Carlo simulations have been carried out on DNA oligomers using an internal coordinate model associated with a pseudorotational representation of sugar repuckering. It is shown that when this model is combined with the scaled collective variable approach of Noguti and Go, much more efficient si
