β¦ Synopsis
This paper uses Monte Carlo simulation on a diamond lattice model to calculate the dimension of a polymer chain confined in a sphere while considering the hindrances of bond angle and potential barrier. The results agree with those of Wu Da~hen~ and Qian Renyuan et el. Further, an empirical formula relating to h2/h 2 is obtained. This formula can o also be derived according to equiprobability hypothesis.

## Abstract Monte Carlo studies of the unperturbed amylosic chain conformation have been carried out in the approximation of separable chain configuration energies. Sample chains of arbitrary chain length have been generated so as to be distributed consistent with refined estimates of the configura
We investigate the changes in the average chain length of a solution of semi-flexible living polymers between two hard repulsive walls as the width of the slit, D, is varied. Two different Monte Carlo models, that of the 'slithering snake' and of the 'independent monomer states' are employed in ord
The Monte Carlo simulated annealing method was effectively used to predict the three-dimensional structure of the carbohydrate part of two glycoproteins: 1 vsg and 2 fbj from a protein data bank, utilizing a soft-sphere potential. The result was compared both to the crystal structure and to the stru
