✦ Synopsis
Monotonicity, resolvents and Yosida approximations of operators on manifolds of class C 3 are considered. Strong convergence of di erence approximations to di erential equations is shown by using resolvents. Our motivation is to give an elementary step toward constructing nonlinear semigroup theory on inÿnite dimensional manifolds.
