✦ Synopsis
New azaalkyl or azacrown ferrocenyl compounds containing CHC 6 H 4 NEt 2 ) 2 ] (5a), the novel ferrocenophane [Fe(C 5 H 4 -COCH 2 ) 2 CHC 6 H 4 NEt 2 ] (6a) and its protonated species a C 5 H 4 COCC-linkage are accessible from mono-or diacetylferrocene upon treatment with the appropriate aldehydes [Fe(C 5 H 4 COCH 2 ) 2 CHC 6 H 4 NHEt 2 ][BF 4 ] (7a), are reported. The ferrocenyl ligand 5a is a rare example of a molecule which is (CHOC 6 H 4 -p-R, R = NEt 2 , N-aza-15-crown-5). Preliminary results concerning the electrochemical behaviour of complexes both electroactive and fluorescent. [(C 5 H 5 )Fe(C 5 H 4 COCH=CHC 6 H 4 NEt 2 )] (3a), [Fe(C 5 H 4 COCH=
