This paper reviews the eorts expanded in evaluation of damage characteristics in a highly ยฎlled polymeric material under various loading conditions. Several dierent nondestructive testing techniques, including ultrasonic, acoustic imaging, and real-time radiography, have been used to monitor damage initiation and evolution processes. The nondestructive testing data were analyzed and the results are discussed. Published by Elsevier Science Ltd.
