✦ Synopsis

A simple approximation to the inelastic N-N* transition form factor which was treated formally in the previous paper is developed from the N/D approach outlined there. Numerical calculations based on the approximation derived from the N/D method on the one hand, and directly from the analytically-continued dispersion relations on the other, indicate that the complex anomalous branch cuts force the inelastic form factor to decrease much more rapidly with increasing (space-like) X than do the elastic form factors. We may interpret this physically to be a consequence of the broad spatial extent of the resonant state.
