In the report molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) with salicylaldehyde-Cu(OAc) 2 as the template was synthesized and characterized by SEM, porosity and elemental analysis. Copper acetate was introduced since salicylaldehyde alone cannot display imprinting effect for its intramolecular hydrogen bond.
