During an investigation of the enzymatic liberation of phosphorus from nucleic acid (1), estimates of molecular weight were required for a graded series of desoxyribonucleic acid polymers. The sedimentation-viscosity method (2) was utilized for this purpose because of the small amount of each polymer available.
