β¦ Synopsis
Analyses of spin-lattice relaxation time and second moment measurements of the polycrystalline saccharides methyl a-D-mannopyranoside, methyl fl-D-arabinopyranoside, methyl fl-L-arabinopyranoside and fl-D-allose have revealed, apart from methyl group reorientations in the methyl pyranosides, the jump motion of a hydroxyl proton in a hydrogen bond in fl-D-allose and trans-gauche reodentations of CH2OH groups in methyl a-D-mannopyranoside and fl-D-allose.

Proton Zcoman-and dipolar spin-lattice rekxation times and second moments have been measured in polycrystallinc SiH4 at 24 %IHz, between 90 and 3 K. Down to 25 K the classical model for molecular motion appibs; below 25 EC, quantum effects have to be taken into account.
