✦ Synopsis

It is shown that the motion of smali molecules in the supercooted Eqiquid st2te may occur at reorientation rates 1Oa to IO" set slower than. in normal low viscosity solvents. The detailed dielectric bebzviaur of anthrone and nitrobenzone in supercooled ortho-terphenyl is de&xl%%& and interpreted as a moperative process. The important implications of this work in relation to the behationr of solid polymers is briefly discussed.

The existence of a slow dynamic mode, \vhich relaxes the nuclear Zeeman energy at low fields, has been detected in liquid crystals by several nuclear magnetic resonance studies. We have studied the fractal behavior in classical (MD) trajectories of liquid Nz and in continuous random walks using the "box counting method". For liquid N2, analysis of trajectories extending over a time of 60 ps gives a fractal dimension D = 1.67, which is similar to previously results for liqui
