โฆ Synopsis
Nuclear magnetic resonance
wide line and spin lattice relaxation time measurements on crystalline pyrene reveal a transition over the temperature range 255-285%. attributed to the reorientation of pyrene molecules about the axis perpendicular to the molecular plane. Activation energy for the molecular motion is 13.8 kcal mole-1 from linewidth analysis and 13.5 kcal mole-l from 2'1 measurements.
