โœฆ Synopsis

Nuclear magnetic resonance

wide line and spin lattice relaxation time measurements on crystalline pyrene reveal a transition over the temperature range 255-285%. attributed to the reorientation of pyrene molecules about the axis perpendicular to the molecular plane. Activation energy for the molecular motion is 13.8 kcal mole-1 from linewidth analysis and 13.5 kcal mole-l from 2'1 measurements.

Broad-line nuclear magnetic resonance of boron trifluoride-monomethylamine complex reveals the presence of molecular motion in the solid state. The observed values of second moments of fluorine and proton signals are compared with the theoretical values calculated from the known X-ray structure assu
