## Abstract A low molecular mass polyester was analyzed by desorption/ionization on porous silicon (DIOS) mass spectrometry. The results were compared with those of matrix‐assisted laser desorption ionization (MALDI) mass spectrometry using matrixes of α‐cyano‐4‐hydroxycinnamic acid (CHCA) and 10,1
