✦ Synopsis

Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) using chromosome-specific plasmid libraries and chromosome region-specific DNA markers allowed the characterization of a t( 1022; I I ) (p I I .2;q I2;q24) in a Ewing's sarcoma (ES). This study illustrates the usefulness of molecular cytogenetic analysis of ES, especially for determining the localization of the translocated I I q24-25 segment in complex or variant translocations. ## Abstract We describe the characterization of the genomic DNA breakpoints of two multiple myeloma (MM) patients with t(11;14). __IGH__ translocation events are present in many MM tumors, and it is proposed that they occur early in the pathogenesis, based on the assumption that the translocations

The disease ataxia telangiectasia (A-T) is a multifaceted disorder in which patients have an increased chance of developing a T-cell leukaemia, often with abnormalities of chromosome 14, but sometimes with rare translocations, like t(X; 14)(q28;q I I). We describe the cloning of the breakpoint of on
