Abstract
The scute reticulate scales of birds differ morphologically. We present evidence that the differences extend to the level of molecular content and organization. From the molecular evidence it appears that the scute was derived from the crocodilian scale and that the reticulate scale, like the feather, may be a structure unique to birds.

Extracellular proteases may play an important role in the regulation of cell migration and remodeling of the extracellular matrix during development. In this study, we have examined the embryonic avian heart for the expression of matrix metalloproteases. The 72-kDa type IV collagenase, MMP-2, was de
## Abstract **Summary:** In the present study, a comprehensive, multiβscale, mathematical model is developed for the calculation of the distributed properties of polymer particles in a gas phase, catalytic, olefin polymerization, fluidized bed reactor (FBR). At the molecular level, a generalized mu
