A ne\v contribution to collision cross sections due to the angular dependent part of London dispersion forces has been developed on the basis of the Anderson-Tsao-Curnuttek

theory. A numerical calculation of this contribution has been performed for rotational lines of HCl broadened by rare gases and compared with the corresponding experimental results.
