โฆ Synopsis
The standard molar enthalpy of formation of indium monotelluride InTe(cr) was refined and found to be -(71.220.3) kJโขmol -1 . The standard molar change of energy at the temperature 298.15 K for the reaction: In4Te3(cr)+Te(cr) = 4InTe(cr) was determined; the standard molar enthalpy of formation of In4Te3(cr) was calculated to be -(235.521.8) kJโขmol -1 (here and elsewhere in the paper the uncertainties are given for a 95 per cent confidence interval).

The standard molar enthalpy of formation at the temperature T = 298.15 K for the reaction: In2Te5(cr) + 3In(cr) = 5InTe(cr) was determined in a calorimetric bomb. The value of the standard molar enthalpy of formation of In2Te5(cr) was calculated to be -(175.3 2 2.9) kJโขmol -1 , with the uncertainty
The standard molar enthalpy of solution of In(OH)3 in HCl(aq) of concentration 9.33 molโขdm -3 has been measured. Combining this value with auxiliary values, the standard molar enthalpy of formation has been derived: DfHยฐm{In(OH)3, s, 298.15 K} = -(927.6 2 0.5) kJโขmol -1 .
The molar enthalpies of solution of UTeO 5 , UTe 3 O 9 , TeO 2 , and UO 3 in HCl (aq, c = 11 mol โข dm -3 ) have been measured by using an isoperibol calorimeter. From these results and other auxiliary data, the standard molar enthalpies of formation f H o m (298.15 K) of UTeO 5 (cr) and UTe 3 O 9 (c
The derived standard molar enthalpies of formation in the gaseous state are shown to fit a group additivity scheme.
