Abstract

In this paper we discuss the possibility of an electrically controlled THz modulator based on a gated two‐dimensional electron gas structure. To investigate the modulation capabilities of such a structure, we performed calculations based on the Drude model. Results caused by the change in intensity and phase of transmitted THz radiation induced by changes in the confined electron density are presented. Β© 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Lazaroids (2 I-aminosteroids) are a novel class of compounds specifically designed to inhibit the iron-dependent lipid peroxidation associated with reperfusion injury. In the present study, we compared the effect of several lazaroids on radiationinduced apoptosis in explanted rat thymocytes and cult
