The structure of Ba 1.1064 CoO 3 has been solved in the (3 Ψ 1)dimensional formalism. The structure is described as a modulated chain composite with two subsystems, [CoO 3 ] and [Ba], respectively. The superspace group is R-3m(00 )0s with a β«Ψβ¬ 9.8842(20) A s , c β«Ψβ¬ 2.4785(12) A s , and q β«Ψβ¬ 0.553
The structure of a Ca-rich composite-type crystal [A 2 Cu 2 O 3 ] 7Ψ [CuO 2 ] 10 with A β«Ψβ¬ Sr 0.43 Ca 0.55 Bi 0.03 and β«Ψβ¬ 0.04 was determined by single-crystal X-ray di4raction using the 4D superspace group formalism.
