Invited paper

The theory of neutron diffraction on modulated magnetic structures is developed on the basis of a phenomenoiogical approach with the Ginzburg-Landau functional. The diffraction on a soliton lattice is discussed in detail. In the light of the theoretical results the experimental neutron diffraction data are discussed.
