## Abstract Highly active CaCl~2~โmodified ZnโCo(III) DMCs were prepared. XRD results showed that the modified catalyst CaโDMC containing 0.14โwt.โ% CaCl~2~ was amorphous. A higher polymer yield (>61โkg polymer/g catalyst) and a shorter induction period for ROP of PO were observed for CaโDMC than f

Polymerizations of propylene oxide (PO) have been carried out by using double metal cyanide (DMC) catalyst prepared by reacting ZnCl 2 and K 3 [Co(CN) 6 ] in the presence of tert-butyl alcohol as a complexing agents. The DMC catalyst of the molecular formula, Zn 2.3 Cl 1.0 [Co(CN) 6 ] 1.0 ร2.0 t BuO
