โฆ Synopsis
Different clay minerals (montmorillonite, muscovite, sepiolite, attapulgite, talc, kaolinite and metakaolinite), added to gypsum plaster powder before gauging, modify soms physical properties of the binder after hardening, e.g. compressive and flexural strengths, total open porosity and pore size distribution, but above all, coefficient of permeability and kinetics of water migration under variable charge. This investigation allows to choice the clay mineral whose addition to gypsum plaster leads to the best compromise between the level of mechanical strength and the improvment of hydrophobization property of the material
