The case of a patient with idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy and complex ventricular arrhythmias who underwent placement of an automatic implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (AICD) and experienced inappropriate shocks during atrial fibrillation is presented. On presentation to the emergency depart
