✦ Synopsis

This paper presents physicochemical and structural properties of heavy hydrogenate from hydrogenation of flame coal and properties of its toluene soluble and insoluble components. Carbonization of the hydrogenate and its fractions showed that the removal of toluene insolubles and hydrocarbons boiling below 380°C changes the course of carbonization and the ordering of the texture of resulting cokes, increasing the fibrous coefficient from 32 to 79%.
