✦ Synopsis

The modification of magnetic and cristallographic properties of several graphites after grinding were studied. From these results the magnetic properties of a hypothetical Rhomboedral graphite were determined. The thermal variation of the susceptibility is well represented by the relation: x=0.85 +$?(l+-"T) and the experimental value of K0 is in good agreement with the theoretical value proposed by MCCLURE. The processes of transformation of lattice defects and of the rhombohedral structure into an hexagonal structure when samples are treated at different temperatures (HTT) were also investigated. -
