✦ Synopsis
Abstract
Multi‐walled carbon nanotubes (MWNT) were oxidized with nitric acid and resulting carboxy groups were transformed to amino groups with a diamine under microwave irradiation. Grafting of bisphenol‐A‐polycarbonate onto carboxy‐ and amino‐functional MWNT through transesterification or aminolysis resulted in weight increase up to 300%. The morphology of functionalized and grafted MWNTs was investigated with scanning force microscopy (SFM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Depending on the type of functionalisation and the extent of grafting different morphologies were observed. Aminofunctional MWNT__‐g‐PCs showed more “ball‐like” or irregular protrusions of grafted PC. Carboxyfunctional MWNT‐g‐__PCs were more smoothly covered with PC.

## Abstract The present article reports on a strategy for the functionalization of multi‐walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) by grafting with various polymer chains. Copolymers consisting of __α__‐methylstyrene (AMS) and a second monomer, that is glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) or styrene (St), were synth
## Abstract The properties of an oligomeric cyanate ester polymer were modified by the addition of 0.01–3 wt.‐% multi‐walled carbon nanotube (MWNT) containing particles. The dynamic mechanical behavior and thermal properties of the cyanate ester/MWNT nanocomposites were evaluated. The storage modul
