โœฆ Synopsis

Gabriel Kron established the theoretical foundations of modern electric machine theory by geometrizing the equations for the noncommutating primitive machine in a Riemannian space and deriving the equations in the commutating mode by a rotating nonholonomic coordinate transformation of the electric charge variables. Modern theory differs from his concept primarily because: 1) it considers the tensor and differential equation formulations to be equivalent; 2) commutation is described by a differential operator on the inductance coefficients; 3) nonlinearities require for their definition extra equations to deJine them; and 4) transformation theory has been eliminated as a technique for deriving the equations in the commutating mode.
