THE third volume of this series well lives up to the high reputation gained by its predecessors for up-to-date, comprehensive coverage of a few selected fields. Sacher and Laidler discuss theories of homogeneous electron-transfer reactions (42pp.). Conway gives a very full account (106pp.) of proton
