Abstract

In this paper we provide a short description of the major developments in multi‐country modelling, and then identify where we believe models of the world economy need to develop further in order to be better able to capture interdependencies among national economies, and to address the central policy dilemmas created by the evolution of the world economy over the next decade. We then examine the policy implications of the simulations that the five modelling groups carried out.
