โฆ Synopsis
MnO, ore, Mn,O, and Mn,O, were reduced In a thermobalance at various hydrogen partial pressures and m the temperature range 275400ยฐC It was found that the MnO, ore and Mn,O, are both reduced stepwise via Mn,O, Two models were tried to describe the reactions, the shrmkmg core model and a more recently pubhshed model, the cracklmg core model The shrmkmg core model 1s not suitable for descrlbmg these two-step reductions, but the crackhng core model gave good agreement between results of calculations and measured data The actwatlon energies for all the reactlon steps were estabhshed The value found for a given reactlon appears to depend on the starting material and Its method of preparation
