A new mathematical model for thecatalyst layer of a PTPE-bonded electrode has been developed. The model is based on the assumption that the catalyst layer contains porous aggregates of catalyst particles flooded with electrolyte and surrounded by a network of gas-supplying hydrophobic pores.
