✦ Synopsis
data processing system adapted to a vapour recompression distillation unit is described. It is shown that it allows the identification of mass transfer parameters of the distillation column, of heat exchange of the boiler-condenser, of manometric and flow coefficients of compressor and of its isentropic yield. This last parameter and the overall output of the unit pass through a maximum for the same value of the compressor rotation speed.

## Abstract Comprehensive optimization of distillation column operating parameters is very important in chemical production. Response surface methodology (RSM) was used in combination with process simulation for complex optimization of operating parameters on the butanol distillation column in solv
A mathematical simulation of the steady-state operation of a multi-effect stack (MES) distiller was carried out using a number of simpGfying assumptions. The distiller consists of a two-tier arrangement in which feed water is pumped to the top effect via a number of prcheaters. The computer program
In the present work we have modelled and optimized the reaction mechanism of the triose phosphate isomerase (TIM) enzyme (E.C. 5.3.1.1). For this purpose we have used an approach that combines the S-system representation within the power law formalism and linear programming techniques. By this means
## Abstract A Petlyuk distillation column, considering equilibrium and non‐equilibrium stage models, was studied. Rigorous simulations were conducted using Aspen Plus™ RATEFRAC Module for the separation of ternary mixtures. According to the equilibrium model, the energy‐efficient design of the Petl
