✦ Synopsis


A new numerical method for the interactions among the multisolitons propagating along monomode optical fibers is presented. On the basis of the deri¨ati¨e function belonging to the Sobole¨space

(2) ( ) 2 ( ) and under the norm of L I , the base in the Sobole¨space S I is the (2) ( ) one in space L I , by which the deri¨ati¨e operator can be approximately expressed by a wa¨elet matrix. We use the operator to act on the time ¨ariable in the nonlinear Schrodinger equation go¨erning the propa-gating soliton, and obtain a new, simple iterati¨e equation for solitons propagating in optical fiber. The results obtained are similar to those reported in the references, so this method is effecti¨e.
