✦ Synopsis

The general method for forecasting percolation/permeability characteristics of microporous material, regarding its preparation conditions, is proposed. The effectiveness of the proposed method is illustrated for microporous materials of pyrolytic and polymeric origins. Functions of fractal dimensionality and permeability/tortuosity vs several parameters related to preparation conditions are derived. Copyright 2000 Academic Press.

The limited-volume analytical method for the evaluation of the probability of percolation (random trajectory approach) is developed. The model uses probabilistic analysis of possible percolation ways. The main equation for the probability of percolation contains parameters related to the conditions

Composites have been fabricated by compressing polycrystalline brushite mixed with a polymer powder into pellets to study the surface activities and proton mobilities of acid CaHPO 4 β€’ 2H 2 O phosphates (brushite). The electrochemical properties of such composites are studied using complex impedance
