Design and analysis of brushless motors for ball screw drives, such as application-specific electric motors are presented. Since the motor should be designed as a built-in structure for machining equipment, the motor dimensions are restricted. A new design concept for such applications is presented.

A dynamic model is derived for misaligned rotor-ball bearing systems driven through a flexible coupling by treating the reaction loads and deformations at the bearing and coupling elements as the misalignment effect. In order to verify the validity of the misaligned rotor system model, experiments a
The complex and articulated ball is one of the popular artifacts for collections and is highly expandable and collapsible. This paper investigates the mechanism structure of this magic ball by hypothetically decomposing the mechanism into kinematic loops and chains and subsequently into basic kinema
