✦ Synopsis
A mathematical model based on experimental results is set up for a typical model reaction of hydrocarbon reforming, namely the dehydroisomerization of methyl cyclopentane. Computer simulations show that the existing theory about the reaction path of hydrocracking reactions involving bifunctional catalysts may be only partly valid.
