✦ Synopsis
A procedure to measure and model the depolarization effects in the transmission across building materials is presented. From wideband measurements, this procedure isolates the effects of the obstacle from the antennas. A bidimensional complex matrix characterizes the obstacle, and depolarization indexes are obtained from its elements.
