✦ Synopsis
Abstract
An improved accurate modeling for miniaturized stepped impedance resonators with a double coaxial structure is proposed in this paper. The step discontinuities of the double coaxial stepped impedance resonators (DC‐SIRs) have been given full consideration in the modeling. The band‐pass filters have been designed using the accurate modeling of DC‐SIRs. The band‐pass filters mentioned in this paper show excellent performances such as more compact size and lower insertion loss, and it can be used at lower frequencies. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
