β¦ Synopsis
This paper indicates that the mean time to failure (MTTF) is an important performance indicator of vibration fragility in addition to the natural frequency. After systematically introducing the accelerated vibration test method for fruit transportation, a Weibull theory-based MTTF curve is introduced, which can correlate the laboratory vibration test, and actual transportation in particular, for complicated products, such as electronics items in which the failure appears less consistently than in fruit. Finally, it is suggested that a MTTF curve is needed before designing the packaging for the product and carrying out the vibration test.

This paper introduces a general or "distribution-free" model to analyze the lifetime of components under accelerated life testing. Unlike the accelerated failure time (AFT) models, the proposed model shares the advantage of being "distribution-free" with the proportional hazard (PH) model and overco
