β¦ Synopsis
Numerical predictions of two phase (liquid-liquid) flow, including dispersed phase droplet breakup and coalescence under turbulent conditions, have been compared with emulsification experiments in a turbulent pipe mixer device at low volume fractions. This paper will give a short outline of the theory, a description of the experimental techniques, an overview of the applied numerical techniques and the results of the comparison.
