✦ Synopsis

We consider model A dynamics for a quench from the disordered (confined) to the ordered (deconfined) QCD phase. The linear theory of spinodal decompositions is compared with data from an effective spin model. The critical mode of the linear approximation is determined. Further, the quench leads to competing vacuum domains, which are difficult to equilibrate.
