We report on a compact high-power passively modelocked Nd:LuVO4 laser by use of semiconductor saturable absorber mirror (SESAM). The laser generated clean CW modelocked pulses with an average output power of 8.6 W, a repetition rate of 144 MHz, and a pulse duration of 13.2 ps. By employing a three-m

✦ Synopsis
We report on nonlinear experiments pumped with
high-power femtosecond pulses from a passively mode-locked thin
disk Yb:YAG laser: a nonlinear fiber compression experiment,
generating 33-fs pulses with 18 W average power and a
fiber-feedback parametric oscillator generating 19 W of signal
power in the 1.5-μm region and 7.8 W of idler power at a
wavelength of 3.57 μm.

Passively cw mode-locked laser operation of Ybdoped NaY(WO4)2 (Yb:NaYW) crystal was demonstrated with an average power of 400 mW. This is the highest power achieved from the mode-locked Yb:NaYW laser to our knowledge. The laser was end-pumped by a high power fiber pigtailed laser diode bar and the m
At the recent years a technology of ceramic laser media on the base of crystals with a cubic symmetry has been developed. The perspective of the usage of ceramic materials in many different applications including high - power short pulse lasers stimulates the work on the systematic study of the prop
## Abstract The variable focal length of thermal lensing in grains of a thermally loaded Nd:YAG crystal rod have been calculated and compared with the measurements of our system. By use of the space‐dependent rate equations, the analytical expression of the output power on the pump power, which con

In this paper, we demonstrate a high-power erbiumdoped fiber amplifier pumped by single-mode titanium sapphire (Ti:S) laser at 980 nm. The highest output power of 22.6 dBm is measured at 1549 nm with an input signal power of 4 dBm and a pump power of 300 mW. This corresponds to power-conversion effi
