✦ Synopsis
A polarizatian inversion method was employed lo study the nature of co& by high-resohtion solid-state 13C CP/MAS n.m.r. Comparison with synthetic polymers allowed evaluation of the relative molecular mobility of individual functional groups in coal samples. Some possible applications of the method in coal characterization for conversion processes are suggested.
