Abstract
This article introduces a simple and efficient technique for generating the initial guess for iterative solutions of a large dense system of linear equations arising in the methodβofβmoments (MoM) formulation of electromagnetic (EM) problems. The proposed approach is based on an extrapolation of the solution vector from those generated at previous frequencies. The extrapolated solution is further refined, if required, by using the conjugate gradient (CG) technique. Questions regarding the accuracy of the solution, as well as its dependency on the stopping criterion and the frequency step size, have been investigated for a large class of EM problems, and representative results are presented. The superiority of the present technique over existing approaches for generating the initial estimate of the solution is demonstrated. Β© 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract This paper illustrates the application of Wynn's vector Ξ΅βalgorithm to solve a system of equations arising in the method of moments (MoM) solution of an electrostatic problem. Since the method is iterative, it does not require inversion of a matrix. The degree of accuracy of the solutio
## Abstract A hybrid method for solution of Maxwell's equations of electromagnetics in the frequency domain is developed as a combination between the method of moments and the approximation in physical optics. The equations are discretized by a Galerkin method and solved by an iterative block Gauss
In this work a novel method for the determination of nortriptyline in flow-injection systems has been developed. The proposed method was used for the fast determination of nortriptyline in its pharmaceutical formulations. The developed technique is very simple, precise, accurate, time saving, and ec
This paper contains details of recent developments in the analysis of elastohydrodynamic lubrication problems using the finite element method. A steady state isothermal finite element formulation of the smooth line contact problem with Newtonian lubricant behaviour is presented containing both first
